Inspired by Senge’s philosophy, Mr. Bipin Sahoo , Chairman of the Trust and other young corporate professionals came together in 2006 to set up RIIT Trust to work with grassroots initiatives for effecting positive changes in the lives of School and College Drop-Outs and their families and communities. They identified the gap between demand and supply in human resource in India. They started this organization to develop the Rural youth by making various developments in agriculture, Environment and Tribal sustainability.
RIIT Trust is to empower Tribal, youth and women through relevant education, innovative healthcare and market-focused livelihood programs.
RIIT Trust is to deploy best possible methodology and technology for achieving social return on investment, to practice and promote good governance. To link business competitiveness of the corporate with social development initiatives; also to sensitize privileged children, youth and citizens in general to promote Civic Driven Change.

RIIT started imparting education in the field of Management & Information Technology.
